Got FX? Consider grabbing yourself a 19" instead of bothering with AA. Why play games smooth at 1024x768, when you can have games smooth AND detailed at 1940x1440? If you can afford an FX, you can afford a 19", besides, a 19" will survive at least 5 years while the graphiccards are outdated in maximum 2. Best Regards JemyM

YEAHAAAA someone who shares my opinion instead of stupid AA the games should be develloped for higher resolutions ... thats the way it should be .... AA is the most uneeded feature after Benchmarkcheats

AA is an excuse to sacrifice core power to keep an old dusty 15"/17". According to the test ive seen, the 5900 where faster than 9800 in most AA tests (except anything coded by Ubi Soft), so if you give a **** about AA, there's only one choice. Best Regards JemyM

Both Splinter Cell and Raven Shield is equally screwed on ATI/Nvidia. Ubi-Soft's "feed some, ignore the rest" developing tactics strikes again. I guess about 60-70% could play Raven Shield without problems, and for Ubi, thats good money. Best Regards JemyM

1400x1050x32 / 6xAA / 16x aniso 1600x1200x32 / 4xAA / 16x aniso all smooth, with FX5900u, 4x AA is in games definitely slower than 9800p get both cards and test it yourself before w00 w00 statements ...

That information have been proven false. And can you afford a 9800 or a 5900 you can afford a 19". They are in fact cheaper than the actual card, so not being able to afford a real monitor to give the best of your gfx card is bull. Best Regards JemyM

1. It have been proven that ATI shows similiar optimization results. 2. It have been officially anounced by Mad Onion that nvidia's speedgain in 3d Mark is not made by desire to cheat. 3. In tests 3d Mark and Splinter Cell are the only two applications that have been proven to run faster on 9800 than 5900. I bought my 19" 1996, and I still have it. it is my most precious hardware in my posession, and it have outlived more than six computers since I bought it. Buying a $400 card just to "downclock" its power with up to 60% with AA is a pure waste. Best Regards JemyM

my monitor was priced at £550 it's an lcd and im very pleased with it. but it dont do higher resolutions, thats where AA comes in and do a neat job. i could afford a 'real' monitor, i just choose differently than you, since i didnt want a piece of bulky crap on by desktop. and before you whine about lcd's - with responce times of

I think I read through 10+ reviews about 5900/9800 and in most of em 5900 leads on 9800 in almost all tests except for 3dMark. Perhaps I should say that I only look at the 1600x1200+ results, and tend to ignore both the AA pages and the 3dMark pages when I read reviews. Feel free to point me to a few tests where you can clearly see that 9800 has an advantage over 5900 in games (without AA ofcourse). Best Regards JemyM

We grabbed an Hyundai 19" Q910S 19" Silver to my girlfriend, also known as "The Smallest 19" in the world". It is not deeper than a slim 17" monitor and has all the contrast/refresh/resulutions that you would espect from a 19". The total price was $250. Best Regards JemyM

Its only irritating when you need to read piles of reviews that promotes something that you know is bad. Gimme a worthy test with only 1600x1200 and 1940x1440 NFAA (No ***** AA) results for once, and I will be happy. Best Regards JemyM
