They worked ok, tried the Gamer Edition on my SBlive!. Though there was an error during the install, they worked as they should without any problem. Same preformance in 3DMark03 Sound Test (even though thats not really a good test), exact same preformance as a matter of fact as the last modified Audigy driver released for from the same site as this one. The bug where the echo EAX effect hangs in some games such as FarCry, that accurs with some of these modified drivers, does not seem to be here. They seem to work well for the most part. Heard some distortion in Battlefield 1942 but only minor and only in that game. That Creative does not care at all about its customers is nothing new... their support for ageing products is awful. As soon as a new line of hardware hits the shops, Creative seems to start pumping out drivers with worse sound quality and preformance than the original drivers for the old products.

SB Live! is a good card. After I will finish the NGO AC'97 Codec maybe I will work harder on the SB Live! Drivers.

the drivers ARE unified, you can use a Audigy 2 CD for installing a Live! ... I did that already

but its exactly how it is today ... the EAX 4 driver is for both cards A1 and A2 if you do have the driver installed you should be able to install the recent beta driver, too the only problem about creativ is that they do not publish the driver CD which really sucks I once mailed creative about getting a new CD and they started RMA process .... damn I just wanted a new CD not a new card :d
