And XP-driver seems to be older than newest available in WindowsUpdate... Current driver ver: 5.397.104.2002 This driver ver you provided link to: 5.502.1231.2001 Even driver version says 12/31/2001

Dont listen to him rancho, its not true, your posted drivers are the latest. old 3.97 is dated 23.8 2001 or something. Nice

Unfortunately my WinXP does not detect the "new" drivers as newer than current, version number is newer but year is wrong, "new" driver is 2001 and current is 2002. So there... either someone screwed date wrong or those are older.

To everybody who thinks windowsupdate driver is newer: the inf file of the winxp driver you get from windowsupdate is newer, but the actual driver is NOT newer. It went from 3.97 (23-aug 2001) to 5.02 (31-dec 2001) and a different name (so windows file-protect doesn't kick in).
