They can't disclose when their NDA expires because the time the NDA expires is generally covered by the NDA too so the actual release date remains secret. What I find absolutely mind-boggling is how good ATi's security has been this whole time, I mean I know of at least three people who have had an R420 for a while now and I STILL haven't gotten anything more concrete than what Patti sent me this morning! I have a feeling they have a surprise in store.

Well, it's a pretty out and out known secret now that the NDA will lift on May 4th...so I reckon there is some truth to what you say. :) I personally think ATi DID plan to do a paper launch today originally and then for whatever reason changed their mind and they're not going to paper launch at all now but to premier it all on the 4th.
