I'm glad you posted it, I was really thinking about this f**king bulls*it there last night, and its going to be the same with HL2 "episodes" bloody friggin money grubbing devs, shit they're not even paying for any packaging supposedly so they're going to be charging people up the ass. The worst is the stupid idiots that are going to buy each one and think its a great deal. Like you said it'll be $179.95!!!! For what? Dated FPS gameplay in an O.K engine? HEH to hell with that, I think alot of people will just do smart thing and wait for our good friends that start with "e" and end with "o" to release it. addendum: OMG!!!I was so totally wrong! YOu can PRE-LOAD for FREE!!! :O like OMG!! What a great feature! Friggin douche bags! Whats next "use your mouse to play FOR FREE!" God damn STEAM we seriously need to boycott this shit before it gets TOO much further.

Here's a simple solution - If you don't like it - DON'T BUY ANY MORE. You're not forced or tied into buying any of them. If you want to pay $20 a shot for something you don't like then you're an idiot.

Milking the fanboy. I would do that too. And there are quite a few of those underdeveloped specimen out there! $180 for 36 hours of gameplay is a joke. If it would be 10 hours each, yeah that would be nice. But realisticly 4 hours each of them? PLUUUEEESE! Steam is just another platform, not to make things easier for customers (as the fanboys still think), but to rip em off even more. Fanboys dont care about money anyway. They get all their money from mommy and daddy.

The Sims is a complete game though without the Expansion pack. Sin is being released as *portions* of a complete game. But again, you don't HAVE to buy The Sims with all expansion packs.

but if thats the case... dont most games in the USA cost about $50 anyway? thinking like that nearly justifies the near $200 for it :(
