fortunately this will never happen...MS will NEVER buy into any product where they have to release their lousy source code...open source scares them...they can't buy linux (buy one distro, another surfaces)...hence all the FUD

Logically, they wouldnt have to release the source. M$ could encrypt the kernel. Any flavor of nix doesnt have to release the source. They do it because they choose to and are expected to. M$ could decide not to.
