gor! what a lame solution! in answer to all the other distro's... lets create ANOTHER distro to choose from. heres my solution; if your considering linux.. check out knoppix, if you like knoppix, then grab a copy of mandrake.. there.. was that so hard? and took far less to type. sheesh

erm, thats a bit out of left field, the article nor i was talking about windows XP.. maybe you dont have the depth to use linux... but there are plenty out there who do. also, linux behind in drivers? someone tell nvidia, creative, and the others that make open source drivers for it.. they'll be suprised. as for progress logs? erm.. changelogs everywhere for every software release i've seen for linux. linux = for someone who knows how they want their pc to run, and arent afraid to learn it inside and out. mac= meh.. who cares. MS = for the braindead individual mass who needs to point and click their way through life.

Wow, that's spectacularly ignorant of you. The fact is that Windows XP is a 5 year old OS, and it looks like a 5 year old OS. Newer versions of Linux, particularly with such great window managers as KDE 3.4 are truly years ahead of Windows XP. Let's not forget how old 5 years is in OS terms, would you have happily used Windows 3.1 while 2000 was being introduced?
