Firefoxs users should certainly appreciate some of the changes over IE 6, e.g the Address bar + Search bar on top (Even a drop-down menu to change search engine). While the "Delete Browsing History" feature is essentially the exact same as the "Clear Private Data" feature in Firefox (& I believe a "Phishing Filter" will be available in Firefox 2). It'll be interesting to see how rapidly developers conform to the changes in IE7 - both security & bug fix wise, e.g. Trying to download the iPod updater from apple couldn't be done by default due to the secure/non-secure connection changes when submitting details, while the layout at my wife's ivillage baby forum was incorrect (I should also point out that they've got issues with not supporting Opera/Firefox for certain features either).

IE7 will actually compare favourably to alternate browser when it's released. It'll certainly be far more competent than IE 6 is. Phishing filter, Improved security model, standards support fixes (Not an overwhelming amount mind you, but it's better than nothing), tabs, RSS, Search improvements, plugins...
