Well I certainly don't get it, I mean once Compiler developers (Intel/MS/GNU) release support for the Itanic2 why would a company need to hire new developers, surely they just recompile the code they already have? Unless they coding in assembly (how many?). As someone who works for a Industrial Server manufacturer I hope Intel do get it right, because they dam well ain't intereset in anything that's not Intel and sadly the Opterons Price/Performance just doesn't match the Xeons at the moment, but then the Xeon isn't exactly a fligher either.
