This tweak and the cpu l2 cache tweak are nothing new. If you have read the various WinXP tweak guide, you would get more info. including any side-effects and stuff.

The L2 cache "tweak" is a placebo. This is determined via the HAL, although with older CPUs with off-die L2 Cache this may not be the case. Basically its for Pre-Pentium 2 CPUs. For what I'd hope would be everyone here this is a completely useless "tweak" to make, there's absolytely no point to it.

0 means Windows auto-determines it. So what the guy's saying on the forum about Windows 2000 & XP not detecting it is just wrong.

i got mine set to 9, but i cant remember why...

Made mine boot slower. It did not load all the startup items either until I set it back to 3.
