studdering is elimintated... wireframes... never saw them. not on my Radeon 64 vivo, my 8500 or my 9500 soft9700... crashes.. yes perhaps, but not more than the next guy with a nvidia card..

nVidia is in BIG trouble right now, ATI latest 9500/9700 is the real deal! I finally got a chance to play around with a friends 9500 for a while, including soft9700 & some serious OCing, and that card ROCKED! We were running the Cat3a drivers on 98se with DX9 installed, and there has been NO problems with any games yet. (Then again, I didn't really get a chance to play everything either.) I just wanted to say that this "new ATI" really might just be a really new ATI. Don't just do a "pagh!" or "bosh!"...the latest Catalysts are as good as any dets I've used, just as solid. :)

I have a Powercolor Radeon 8500. Never had a bit of trouble with it. No driver probs, nothing. Every HW mfg has bad parts slip thru every once and awhile. But what about all those people having the problems with the GF4 4200's. Thats not a bad part slipping thru, its whole production runs bein shipped out then back, then being reboxed and shipped out again.

"Ati only fixes what the users report (hint, report as much as possible) needs to be fixed." I think you'll be surprised at the next Catalyst release.

Oh god, time for the nvidiots to crank up the excuse machine again....

any checkerboard effect isnt the fault of the drivers, but the mod tiself...

Contact ATI with the problems so they put it on the bug fix list.

LOL i love it when there a nvidiachoker post.....bottom line we need nvidia and ati and any other card manufacturer......ask yourself this do you want to pay 800$ for the top of the line card?? you triks are talking about driver and ati is the best or nvidia is the best??? your missing the most important point...whether your a nvidialamer or ati clown or a SIS-ter one thing to remeber: competition=lower prices dumass triks...
