lame guide.. HL2 based on DX not on OGL so whats the point messing with OGL settings ? *sigh* well you can find real guide in my website

I was actually gonna read the guide, but when I read your comments on DX/OGL I figured why bother? Sounds like they didn't do their homework very well. :?

IGN dumb 5 pages guide converted: just make sure you dont have any spyware and and put performance in OpenGL bars in your driver (HL2 is based on DX9 but whatever)

This is a handy little guide for people that are not experts in XP. It shouldn't be titled Half_Life 2 Optimization guide, It should be called what it is a XP optimization guide for the inexperienced. If you don't have the knowledge its a nice little read, and the Tweaking tool from Driverheaven isn't too bad. A well setup system is always a Plus no matter what game you are playing, DX or OpenGL. Just don't read this expecting to find HL2 tweaks.
