Doom 3 sucks. Plus its not very moddable, theres only been a couple of shitty mods for it out so far. HL2 will be WAY easier to mod, and you can expect literally hundreds of mods.

doom3 is extensively modabble, moreso than any previous id game. it's just it's only JUST had it's SDK released.
