A few dozen minutes later Sarge has magically transformed into half-man, half-Johnny 5 - no explanation!. Doc B taunts you throughout the gameonly to find his normal voice replaced by this other deep voice around the end. Next thing you come face to face with this massive demon thing. Why? Why did Doc B turn this? Because he didn't apparently. A little later we see Doc B has eveolved into part manhead, part bird, part Krell warrior. Doom 3 had a stunning story alright. Stunning nonsensical.
