Hi all this is so true I've been trying different BIOS's in my XFX 5900 and have spotted some things worth noting. One BIOS reported to be a standard Nvidia BIOS is actually a Leadtek BIOS that makes my card give graphics glitches at quite low clock speeds. Be aware of this, try a Gainward BIOS if you are having trouble. If you want to have TVout after flashing to a 5950Ultra, make sure the 5950 BIOS files for your card are available on the web before you buy one. I have the XFX 5900 and havent been able to locate a 5950 BIOS for it yet sadly. Currently I use the Gainward 5950 BIOS and am clocked to : 590 core 980 memory The stock cooling could be improved on, am looking at getting a water cooling kit :) Sorry I cant quote performance increase figures, I cant remember how fast it was before I started. Performance varies wildy with different driver releases. The best overall I have found so far is 53.30 from Guru3D. Farcry needs 53.03 drivers ONLY according to their readme file. I havent had a problem using the 53.30 (please note thats 53.30 and 53.03, I got confused over that once). The card works flawlessly after modding and clocking. Have Fuuuuuuun :):):)

just to add, the Gainward BIOS I used was called 5950E300.rom Theres an E400, I havent tried it yet.

pants. I made a typo too, the core clock I'm running at is 490MHz, not 590MHZ !!!
