Could it be because DirectX 9.0C isn't installed??? I might also add did anyone thing of 8 pipes both ways=16 pipes??? I'm not an expert but I could see this being a possibility - any other ideas??? LOL.

Mebbe a passionate rant or two, but religious I ain't! I'm not really accusing anyone of anything right now, I just am pointing it out and finding it interesting to post up at a few places to chat/find out more about. It's a neat way to figure things out, much better than just idle bashing and name-calling. ;)

Good thought, but the pipeline isn't affected at all by directX. There's someone at Beyond3D now saying those two have to flash their bios to fix it, which might imply that you CAN enable pipes on the non-Ultra with a bios flash which could be a VERY cool thing for the nVnidia crowd! BTW-Did I mention I just bought a 5900nu last week? I bought a 5900nu last week. :)

...right after Demirug said that the other 8 pipe 6800 came up. ;) Two of 'em is a bit too much of a coinky-dink with the limited-as-hell number of them out there...there is SOMETHING up with it. I think the 6800nu was originally going to be an 8 pipe card, but nVidia was forced to up it to a 12 to compete with ATi's offering in the same bracket. Some of the early 6800nu go out with the wrong bios which only has 8 pipes enabled, a quick flash makes 'em all better at 12....EXCEPT for those that "won't work after the mod" and that's what Ufon and the Inno3D card are. I'm reading this as potential for some NUs to be flashed to full Ultras. :)

That's more than I can say for most, and I kind of think my personal preference precedes me about it. I hate nVidia corporate, but it's not baseless...I got a lot of very good reasons for it. But I still buy my hardware based on the best value, did I mention I just bought a 5900 FX? :P

Personally I don't know DW but after going around to a few places and seeing his massive amount of posts I think the poor guy needs a life. Come on now, how many forums do you post on anyway where you have 4 or 6.5k posts. Its very clear that you have a personal grudge against Nvidia even if you may have owned a few cards.. Every where I go and see your name you are posting negative information about Nvida. Now your not posting information coming from major sources, you post some crap some guy puts up on a forum that got his hands on a ref card. Or an early release most likely a sample card that was sent out to a programmer. Now I will give you credit for at least always using the same name, but when you run around to as many websites as you can posting, your not trying to enlighten us all. Now this ufon guy has 10 posts on that forum, So you are taking the word of someone that has very little credibility as far as I´m concerned. Now I have dealt with both companies, I can tell you this, neither of them are angles, and for myself. You can call me a Nvidiot Ill just call you a ATI-hole.

True, if we can buy a good performing card for a good price with great driver support then i don't think anyone really cares...
