thats actually a bad analogy. no the store isnt trying to rip you off of oranges, but if people purchased a "golden sample" labeled video card, then find out its not, they have a right to be pissed off.. a better analogy would have been, ordering a dodge viper and getting a mini-van instead.

You might want to read the whole thread and there are other threads on that problem aswell. Its not just 1 or 2 people who received this and did you read the one response from the Gainward employee? He said that the first range of cards are indeed reference cards and intended to. Funny no word or picture says that on their product listing. Also no employee replied any further on that problem leaving it as "normal" in the air, even though there are more and more such threads. God, I hate it when uninformed people have to spit out their holy opinion at all costs...
