I'd never heard of this tweak before and it gave me a BIIIIG boost running FF whilst downloading with Azureus. Now I can browse like I ain't downloading like a fiend in the background, it's way cool and very much appreciated. I'm pretty sure there are a couple of other people out there who read this site who were late converters to FireFox too who will also appreciate this info. :)

Now I'm miffed at the first couple of comments in this thread. This is a great tweak, just because you've heard of it already doesn't mean there ain't a lot of other people who haven't. I've been turning people on to this tweak since yesterday and have gotten nothing but great feedback on it, my thanks again to the author.

Even so, it's been better covered elsewhere. In other news, Windows 9x users should add the following line to the [386Enh] section of the system.ini for improved use of RAM. You see my point? Good info., it's also been covered in LOTS of places over ages ago.
