huh ???? how more easy it could be to upgrade a app just by copying the new files to a dir ... I dunno how the structure is at ur place ... but all you need to do is 1 or 2 1. install firefox on a network drive ... so all do acess firefox on remote server you got control over and you can update very easy while keeping the personal profile at the client PC ... 2. just share the firefox program folder on client PCs (passed or not) and create a little script to copy new files to all client PCs ... its really that easy ... even more the new versions all got an integrated updater that will notify you with an little icon about any critical update all you need to do is click it and press OK ... not even reboot needed ...

thats not true ... updating works perfect in any build released since 8.0 and I do nearly install any of them maybe you profile was messed up ... all you need to do is to take your bookmarks.htm from your default profile and copy it to the new location
