ffdshow is great if you remember to uninstall all other divx/xvid codecs before installing it, I haven't come across one video it couldn't play. You just need to install some 3rd party audio codecs (ac3, ogg) and you'll never need to worry about finding codecs again. :D

to shroeder > this is definitely not 3 months old! 1st march 2003, can u read it ? to Lithorus > dunno if previous versions are messing up with codecs but this version is perfect. i tried ffdshow on many computers and always obtained great results. to Chicken > ffdshow uses the installed codecs so you'd better keep them ;) ffdshow is only a decompressing filter so that divx/xvid plays smoothly.
