MagamiAko you do say some odd things! You're missing the plot somewhat if you are trying to enjoy the latest in games graphics technology with a Ti4200. I think Ti4200's are great, but they miss a lot in quality usingDX9. The quality you get with HQ settings in games with a 4200 are NOT as good as HQ settings with a FX5900 + or High end Radeon, unless you are talking about older games that cant take advantage of DX 8 and 9 (and equivelant OpenGL standards). Maybe you are only interested in framerate? It would be a good thing for you to acknowledge there are other people in this world who think differently to you. I enjoy good Image Quality and get decent framerates too. I also know people who play Quake 3 on low Q, they get in excess of 350FPS !! Their choice, completely unnecessary, they just havent changed their settings since PIII days! I speak from the perspective of a PC user who has the kit, enjoys Quality graphics hardware, knows how to use it and LOVES it ;) ps Your constant bias against ATI is unmistakeable.

heh actually people play with low Q in quake3 because the way ID soft coded the engine... theres a bug in their engine that enebles you to jump higher with higher fps. - so they can do jumps they werent able to do fi they had used high Q settings.

It's not NV hardware (much less ATI's) what will kill that company.... their own politics will.

Ehm, i don't think this company is going to get killed anytime soon, nobody pays attention to things like this except people like you and me who read topics like this. And thats maybe 0,001 % of all the people... Also i think that this should stop by now, maybe Nvidia overdid it a little with the FX line, but like the reviewers said... The IQ of the NV40 is on par with that of ATI cards, sometimes the radeon looked better, sometimes the NV40 (if you disable the trilinear optimisations...) and this is with beta drivers and hardware. So ok, there still are optimisations, but they don't degrade the IQ noticable like with the FX line (although these aren't very noticable either when you are actually playing the game...) btw, i would like to see the diference between those screenshot in normal view, i bet you would have to zoom in X10 to see a difference...

Someone gave someone some free video card and other stuff ... someone wrote something accordingly in return?
