LOL ... cool PR Recommended GPU: GeForce FX and NO other will work ... but FX5200 will run it thaaaaaaaaat smoooooooooth ... lol

Nvidia cards are great at open gl based games but I don't think the fx5200 will do a very good job at running doom3 without cranking back a lot of detail. lol On the other hand though my brother bought a brand new Dell a few weeks ago with a P4 2.8 and an fx5200, I know a lot of people complain about the performance of the 5200 but it really took me by surprise to see him play the ut2k4 demo at full detail with no real slowdowns unless he played on a packed ONS server, however it only acheive just over 1200 in 3dmark 03, even with the cheat drivers lmao.

this was full irony ... btw ut2k4 ain't THE hardware eater outa there ... but all in all a FX5200 is simply crap especially if ya buy a PC with 2.5GHz and more ...

if you plan on playing the next generation of games dont go buy a hi-end card now....stay with what you have and wait the next gen cards will be able to run any doom 3 engine game....faster with more eye candy..just like always software is ahead of hardware.... gfx 5200 running doom3 that is highlarious...in fact any gfx dustbuster card is highlarious....

are you kidding? i think more people are awaiting DOOM3 over HL2 and FARCRY..... dont get me wrong, HL2 and Farcry both look sweet too but DOOM3 just looks more scary... and by the way its the father of all FPS'

the Nvidia FX thing is just marketting, ok it works with their gfx card and it will also work with ATI. Dont be tricked, the HL2 engine is being re-coded so there wont be that much of a huge gap between ATI and Nvidia. Dont let marking trick u
