DirectX 9.1 and GeForce FX = 60% boost in Pixels Shaders 2.0

Tuckwit
Peace man! A funny story made even funnier by the translation, My ***** award to comedy story of the week. Just imagine if it were true, 60% boost, with 32bit precision, the poor ATI boys would have nothing to argue about, oh, no wait, they got loads more tabs in the control panel...

RanCorX2
wtf! dx9.1? any idea of a release date, first i've heard of it...

Isnt DX9.1 supposed to make FP16 partial precision 'legal' ? If so then yes the FX eill be able to claim a true 60% boost in REAL DX9.1 standard, BUT it will still be lower IQ.. Ill stick with FP24 cards for now thanks...

RanCorX2
any performance increase is ok, as long as its not a cheat.

neo-n
Its a cheat if the drivers are not doing what the game asks.

neo-n
what ? i dont think you get it at all.

RanCorX2
ho hum.
