What can I say. LOL? WTF? Well I don't care anymore really, because I'm switching to console some time next year :) and I will use my so old and outdated comp only for net, work and music.

I mean seriously ... when is vista going to be released ... in 1 year or even later ... which games that run slow today will run slow in one year ?? no game ... so if you loose 10% or 20% performance for older DX games ... who does care ? the PC performance at that time will be enough to compensate this ... and dropping older parts ain't that bad idea ... anyone always does say MS unstable ... insecure ... now that they want to drop and outdated part of this so bad code ... it not right, too I say - wait till its time to really conclude anything I very much doubt MS will cut of one arm by shutting down any game that existes up to now

I dont have anything against new technology, even if it throws away old stuff completely, but why do they have to do this now? why cant they wait until the very old PC AT technology is getting replaced by something totally different and all people will have to switch anyway? Like someone said already, they are inventing the wheel again while there are still cars being sold that need the old wheel.

Thats what im wondering..no where did they cite a source. I heard that DX7 was going to be axed and that DX8 was being considered but that was from a non cited source article as well. I dont think they would kill DX9 games..would be stupid with the new hardware out now...new games out now. I want to see who the source was for that article. Anyone can type up a story if they do not have to cite a credible source. Was probably the inquirer anyway :P

Good God no, I'd rather install a dual boot with Win98 again then ever resort to using a console. Consoles are schwag.
