I just got around to installing this game yesterday, and I had to wait until TODAY for a patch to come out?!?!?! ;) I'm downloading it now, but methinks it will be a good thing...I don't see how it could be much worse. The weapons sounds in the game ARE lame as hell, and there is damn near no ambient background noises about 1/2 the time so I keep thinking me speakers aren't working. Aside from the asthetic considerations, the damned game is a bit of a pig-in-the-mud performer in a lot of situations right now. It actually performs pretty well for me most of the time, but it has some really nasty "bog down the old FPS" points. (Very reminiscent of the first SoF2 build, if'n you know what I mean.) I can't wait for the no-cd patch to come out now, or maybe I'll try making one meself. It's a bloody pain disconnecting my rig from the network just to play a game, I'm hoping this patch makes it worthwhile enough to actually buy the game. :rolleyes:
