This is maybe a dump question but what is the "VIA Infinite Loop problem" ??
unknown
ACK! Why don't you read the icronticforum? It's better than VIA's description. It is NOT a VIA problem It's NOT a nVidia problem. It's a Windows NT kernel problem. Happens 98% on XP, 2% on win2k. ATi, nVidia, 3dfx gfx cards Intel, VIA and AMD chipsets.

"Also this driver should fix the VIA Infinite Loop problem. " Where is that based upon? Not on the WHQL-certification I hope, caus trouble has been reported with 21.83 (WHQL) as well... And as somebody already said: not really a VIA problem (although I fixed it by downgrading my mainboard BIOS), but a problem that occurs with a certain combination of factors. Usually the OS is at fault then, always blame MS ;-)
unknown
It didn't solve the infinite loop problem. Actually it made it worse. Couldn't start Windows XP anymore after installing those drivers...
unknown
Installed perfect for me on xp with a geforce 3 and a P4, everything runs perfect!!!!!
unknown
it's just as bad as 23.11 and caused reboots. Doesn't fix a thing! Well, back to 22.80...
unknown
I updated to this driver, system rebooted, all seemed OK until I opened an application--system FROZE and required a RESET-- rebooted and tried again--SAME THING. UnInstalled this driver and went back to ver 21.83--no problems with this one. My system ASUS MOB and Video card--running Win2K and srv pk 2. anyway-hope others have better luck.

Untill official drivers come out, avoid these like the plague if you have winXP and the "Infinite Loop problem"! Like he said, it made problem worse, rebooted even when trying to go into winXp last good config. Had to reinstall the freakin OS! He should of kept mouth shut by saying "should fix the VIA Infinite Loop problem" So you get all that from 1 person?! That is proof?! hahahaha Wait till offical drivers come out, that spell it out "This fixes the looping problem."

You guys should choose your words more wisely. Just because it blue screens your pc youve gotta start shooting you mouths off that this is the worst driver ever dont anyone touch this. Hey Im having no problems with it. And it seems like a few people are having no troubles with it. So before you go shoving yer feet into yer mouth think before you type. Instead of saying this is the shittiest driver ever why dont you list your system specs and say it causes problems that way if people have a system closer to yours theyll most likely be able to tell what the end result will be. And instead of complaining you might be helping someone out. Now how bout that.

No problems here either with the 23.12 drivers. Must be user error or rubbish system setup for people having problems.
unknown
No problems with MSI K7T Turbo + Inno3d MX 400 + WindowsXP
unknown
Exactly how do you install this driver to windows XP? It extracted to a folder, but there is no readme file. I tried to update the driver but windows xp says that it cant find a more suitable driver in that folder. Please help. Thanks.

Use the option Choose from a list and show XP where the drivers are.

I still have the same problem, in the start of windows. My system is a K6-III 400MHz, MOBO PC-Chips 577 (VIA MPV3 chipset), TNT2 32 MB, 384 MB RAM, WinXP Home. Does anyone have a solution that is not going back to 22.XX drivers. I am using the 22.50 now and it runs fine. Thankyou all you. Galo
