I have a audigy platinum ex running on xp
i installed the new driver update on top of the audigy from the original cd modifid for getting the sound font.
First of i renamed the driver.bak back to driver.bat in the win32 drivers directory and then applyied the update driver from creative rebooted and everything whent smoothly !
Sound font are working ex drive is also working :)

I've been trying to get the plugins to work all day!
Win98 drivers installation completes and XP update from creative loads ok but speaker/mixer plugins not usable. Even updated to Win2k version, as per MS advice in XP Upgrade Report. Can't now overwrite the WDM drivers with Win98 which is, I think, the problem.

Any suggestions?

I had to uninstall my Cd drivers, reboot before the I could update.

use the CTZAPXX.exe utility on the driver cd (or leaked drivers which are the same as the ones creative posted) and choose VxD drivers.

Itw ill ask u to remove wdm drivers - agree.

Then itll restart - CANCEl any windows driver detect wizards, ok any warnings. Then driver is updated, restart again, all will be well!!

ALSO: i hav only used the CTZAPXX.exe with the leaked drivers, which has a much higher version no than the 1 on the cd!!
