Creative X-Fi Scandal - Round 2

I signed the petition even though I'm having no problems with my X-Fi because I remember the ongoing problems I had with my Live! card and some of the games I played. It would be okay for a while and then roar and crackle to the point of being completely unusable. I ended up getting an Audigy, which fixted the trouble with the games, but I believe Creative could have fixed the problems with Live! if they'd really set their minds to it, and I sure don't want them pulling the same stuff again.

Are you kidding me? Creative has never had any driver support. Never have they atually tried to make it easy for updated drivers, moreover never releasing them. The excuse that the people with SB cards whom have problems don't know what they are doing. Is outrageous! Those who think Creative have a working combo of hardware/software you are sadly mistaken, or maybe forgot about the last ten years, and have built less than 1 computer a year.

Relatedly, Creative put out a Beta X-Fi Driver a few months back (January?). Their Auto-update service fails to find a newer version to install, while their website lists no newer Driver either (Dates back to November 2005 for the last non-Beta release). So now users who installed this Beta Driver & (reasonably) would have expected a new version to be out by now have to rollback to Novembers release. That's pretty damned poor service.

Zero problems with mine. He's not wrong. It's more likely the mobo causing it. Actually, I didn't realize people still used Mcafee, btw.

The game in queston was Grand Prix Legends and it was a pretty common problem. About the best solution anybody could come up with was to turn down the performance level in Windows.

It's expired on my system yesterday. Warnings were prompted a week or so before that it would expire on the 17th. Presumably I'm not alone.

Its almost everytime bad memory or in fewer cases the mainboard. Yes, it may work flawlessly with other sound cards and with some games etc, but it is still most likely the memory or mainboard. period!!! There were also cases where I had customer computers so ***** clogged up with unused software and drivers in the background that all this shit caused huged problems.
