So we have to wait for someone to get in mail and post on the web...woopity do.

Creative released drivers only when they get a new soundcard out, and never before anyways. So your audigy drivers you just got, you will have them till they come out with a new soundcard most likely...and if not they will be online when someone gets them.

Man,... I just can`t belive it. How do they dare,.... That`s it I will never buy another Creative card again. Now I own SB Live player,.. and I`m having constant troubles, as I hogs the same port (IRQ 10) as my Winfast GF2 MX400 DH PRO card. My system is not stable to say the least,... I mean what is it so hard to repair in these driver so the VIA KT133A, GF2 and SB Live could work together. After a while my card (SB) starts to squeek, and my whole system freezes. Guys if anyone knows how to repair this, please write to: playme@email.si

Nothing as easy as that:

a) Open your PC
b) Remove your SB Live! Player from its PCI port
c) Choose *another* PCI port
d) Enter your BIOS Setup and choose any option to clear/renew the IRQ data (it worked without this step for me)

i think that this decision of creative is very bad...

when peoples has buy the sblive ! there are 1 year ago , the promotionnal campaign for this product was the free upgradability by software.

personnaly when I buy the sblive , the instalation cd was the liveware 1 , I have of course downloaded the version 3 for win 2000 there a re few months but I have not record it on a cd.

yesterday I install winXP and I decide to install liveware3 ... oups I don't have it anymore... no problem I go on the creative site and SURPRISE !!! I must pay for the CD ?!?!?!?

how much will cost liveware 4 ?

Well, this is a shame. I work at Creative Labs, and I have seen some cutbacks the past 8 months, but this beats the cake. I know that the economy has declined and some measures needed to be taken, but come on people, you cant cut the customers throat. Usually, the Live!ware disc runs about $9.99 USD + shipping and tax. No idea what this will cost you guys. I will tell you what, if enough customers complain, I am sure that something will be done. So spread the word. Have people write in, email in and post on Creative's newsgroups...but please don't call..we dont need the extra phone calls if at all possible. Hopefully, things will change for the best.

I can't get liveware 3.0 (for w2k) to work properly
in XP anyway. some features work and some don't.
I haven't seen that there's a vers. for XP yet.

you must install liveware 3 for win2000 -> it's normal that you wil have a lot of problem... immediately after , install the xpdriver update from creative ( 8 Mb ) it will upgrade your liveware software to be compatible with winxp.

if after that you have always problem go to windowsupdate website and install the new driver for sblive!

imagine, you buy a car, pay money for it, and later on, when trying to start this baby, the one, who sold you the car, tells you to buy the software-chip for the engine .....brrrr.....what a mess!!!

Creative, nice move!!!!
