don't you all see that big ?????????????????????????????????????????????? behind EAX4 ... if there is an audigy 3 I am pretty sure it will not only support EAX4

My experience with Creative Labs is they havent got a clue. I had a nightmare with their support, they tell untruths, dont read the emails, dont answer emails, dont know their own products, send wrong parts and then insist you pay for parts that were missing from the original box. This took 2 1/2 years and they still havent sorted me out. All the above I have proof of (in case Creative try silencing tactics ;)) I will never buy Creative kit again. (from an ex devoted Creative fan). ps the product is a DTT3500 speaker system and I never had it working as 5.1 sound in games/windows because of a missing connector. They did send a connector but the wrong one, then they sent the right one to a wrong address despite explicit instructions and then insisted I pay for another connector!!! You'd think they would sort me out, it wouldnt have cost them much?! I dont trust them.

It can support what it likes, creatives tech support with me has been awful. One lost sale Creative!

Chernobyl must you post up the same old story every single time? I've had everything from the Live! up to Audigy 2 ZS, no problems. Get over your 1 bad experience. The Audigy 2 ZS is as good as it gets at the moment basically. The software included is a bit excessive to be honest, if anything they should concentrate on minimizing the Creative software & just work on improving Drivers & the useful software.

Ahh yes, that's the one thing they can certainly cut down on, everything auto-loading. Unified drivers would be nice too, had forgotten about that, it's been bandied around for some many years now I've forgotten :)

I agree.. but if creative improves their drivers, wheres the profit in that :) and there are very few good 7.1 systems, the few that exist are expensive as well. So in the end a nice 5.1 system will sound better than the cheap overpriced 7.1 set. EAX 1/2/3 didnt seem to be very different. Dolby digital is where its at :) (soundstorm).

Hi, its difficult to report bad experiences without annoying someone. But when you have had a real bad experience with a company, you want to warn other people about it and also (if I'm honest) reduce Creatives sales of products as that would demonstrate to them that they need to change. The experience was nothing like easy and the problem still isnt sorted. So my ONE bad experience that lasted 2.5 years isnt something I will ever forgive Creative for. I would have always bought Creative Labs kit before this, I saw no reason not to (apart from the software bloat), and Creative had to try really really hard to put me off them, but they managed it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for 2.5 years, now they dont even answer my emails, all over 1 small connector that you can ONLY get from them. To quote directly from emails they have sent me: "The original Jack to Digital Din cable supplied with the DTT 3500 (now obsolete) can't prevent to get the central speaker." Completely untrue, there are 4.0, 5.1 and higher versions of the connector. They try and convince you that you dont have a problem. You literally have to argue with them and prove your point entirely before they do even consider thinking about it properly. Then it was handed over to another engineer who wouldnt read any previous emails, came out with his own invalid reasons and made me tell him the whole story again, despite the whole case history being attached to every email (as they insist you do). The story is even worse, but I've already posted about this before and dont wanna go too mad here There most definitely is a lesson to be learnt here. I listen to other peoples views as they do matter. There have been a whole stack of things I might have bought in regret if it wasnt for people posting things in Forums, so I'm glad of the opportunity to let others know what they are letting themselves in for if something is missing from the Creative kit they buy. I'm glad for you if you havent had to deal with Creatives tech support, really! Just for the record, Creative have always produced a unified driver set, they just make it unuseable for previous cards so they sell more new ones. I had been using Audigy 2 drivers on my audigy 1 for some time and even got them working on an SBLive. This is quite old news though, anyone wishing to make their current Creative card sound better, theres plenty of help on the web. No need to buy another sound card unless you need the hardware features. I am now very happy with my NVidia Soundstorm, does everything very well and without the software bloat, no increased boot times and I never have to configure the soundcard (unlike the Audigy!!). Also standards windows operation is faster too. It always does what you want (as well as supporting 5.1 Digital encoding in hardware!!). Now a happy bunny :)
