how can it be AMD's fault that motherboard manufacturer like ABIT makes erroes when building bios'es`? and im sure if you look at Intel motherboards theres similar problems :P

I use a a Asus K8V Deluxe motherboard, and the newest bios for this plain stinks. It pretty drastically lowers the memory clock for some reason, it works perfectly with bios before it (1007) but the new 1008 just blows. Not that it really matters, for me at the moment the somewhat older bios works fine.

Yes award makes bioses for both AMD and Pentium anyway.. so the arguement is basically stupid. Also manufacturers sometimes dont 100% comply with standards, so the bios may have to be tweaked to be more stable with more components.
