the product cycle is each major new chip - nv35 isnt a new chip just a "updated" (rough term) nv30 so ati and nvidia count the product cycles differently.

At least game developers will have time now to catch up (learn some DX9 code) with new tech and stop producing poor games. Only if NvDia could lengthen its cycle too...but she wont, not while ATi is ahead !

we still need to se a official press release from ati to confirm this, allthough they have been hinting the increased product cyckle for some time
