ATI Delivers CATALYST? 3.2 To Enhance Multimedia Computing Experience

ATI is on the ball lately. It is most impressive how they have gone from a company known to release one bad driver every year or so to releasing improved drivers on what is almost becoming a monthly basis. Feels like it has been a year since Nvidia released a nice juicy WHQL driver that works properly for all things.

Yeah, and I am really looking forward to some new drivers from Nvidia that function properly with WDM VIVO drivers. I could care less about increased performance in things that already run fast. I want fixes (just like that MMC thing) for Nvidia. If it wasn't for the 9700 getitng old and 9800 being nothing new, I would jump on the ATI train today. As it stands I guess I will either see if there are TV-out improvements on GF/FX and if there is a model with a tolerable HSF setup or go wait for R400 and NV35 and look at specs all over again. The Radeon 9700Pro/AIW look like nice cards, but I am wary about buying into a product this late into the lifecycle. I was too busy still enjoying my GF4ti4600 when the R9700 shipped to really compare and now it feels a bit too late. R9800 is nothing special over 9700 so I would rather wait and jump one more increment.
