Too bad even with a 3ms U320 SCSI HD in RAID, the HDs will still be the greatest factor of performance loss, even on such a machine.

Wont help much since they still have the same CPU usage and latency. And programmers dont program their games that good aswell. HDs reload all the time even though people have 1-2gb of RAM nowadays... Even with such an uber RAID you will still have those small hickups as long as the games dont load everything into the RAM right away.

Yeah, but a 3.17 Ghz AMD64 FX is like a 5.5 - 6 Ghz Intel Processor...
