OMG, am i dreaming........ where the benchmark result?

FAKE the palomino will never reach 3000+ clawhammer fills that gap. and it looks nothing like that...and purple...come on...all AMD's produced now are green, and will be for the foreseeable future... ~sid~

the picture of the chip is definantly photoshoped if you open it in photoshop and zoom in you can see jpg compression in a defined rectangle around the writing which means its was writen in there. The screen shot on the other hand i cant tell could be real, maybe some OC'ed a lot.

Many things do not connect with this. Older core, color. Only one possible thing that could explain this, like every comany experiments and puts their products to the limits, just like P4 3.5ghz was advertised on this tech show during summer. THis could have been an experiment AMD have done during summer or something, pushed the t-bird to the limits, to see how far it can go. Now they sended out to couple of guys to test out after many monhts keeping them.

Looks real to me, you people just look on the positive side, where's ya spirit! ;)

FAKE thats all there is too it... PURPLE...never...the OGPGA is now GREEN, and will stay GREEN...a few BROWNS still.... its a T-BIRD...PHOTOSHOPPED even the L bridges are exact...same with the core...and gold ground points...it is also ceramic if you look closly...and ceramic is GREY! i cannot beleive that this was even posted... also if it was real, they do not send out these things to resellers... also, the "new" XP's, coming out shortly will use a 166MHz bus... this is just total crap, just to stir the pot...guy who did this all should be restricted to use only *ntel Pentiums for the rest of his lying life... ~sid~ sidtech@on.aibn.com

the l1 bridges arent locked :) overklocking :) bwhuaahahahaha
data/avatar/default/avatar04.webp
Its a fake. Look at how the core is twisted to the left a little bit. This is just a bad photoshop edit
data/avatar/default/avatar04.webp
Even AMD are laughing at this pathetic attempt, I know cos I was talking to them about something unrelated. This is ceramic, the FSB is wrong, the bridges are wrong, the colour is wrong (green is the AMD corporate colour, hence the switch), the core size appears to be wrong, It's a screaming, bald-ass fake.

Obviously its a fake they even say it look up it says "Source: Deadbodies Nice fake isnĀ“t it?" so its a fake. Also AMD doesn't put Athlon 3000+ prototype on the chip thats for sure :D

in a reply to this fake, MaxReboot has also come up with new "Athlon" CPU pics....LOL, this one is great... www.maxreboot.com Apple.........

Glad someone else noticed it. I saw this a LOT earlier on in the day on m3dzone, and the second I saw it the word fake popped into my mind. This is quite clearly an older revision K7 chip, duron or tbird. It's not even a palomino. Core is smaller, and rotated. Only 4 L1 bridges (how would you get the multiplier up to 20 with 4 bridges?), no grounding points...the chip is locked (not very common for a prototype). The text on the chip isn't the same as athlons. No chip ID mark, no chip identification other than the name AND...note the components on the top of the chip? The common trend is to place them either within the core or on the bottom of the pacakging now. Also as mentioned before, this one still is a ceramic package, where as they are now on the OPGA packaging. I would have posted this on m3dzone, but they wouldn't let me login :/

This is so fake, why did you guys even post crap like this? Its obviously an older ceramic chip. AMD moved to organic pin grid arrays so they could go to highier speeds, so using the older package is just plain silly. Notice the extra BGA pins on the right, the very same as the older thunderbird (which it is in this picture) Its also funny how the older ceramic package couldnt even support a 20x multiplier. Someone could look up what the bridges on that chip are equal to, I would but why bother its already obvious its a fake.

ummmm.....am I the only one that noticed they they wrote "nice fake isnt it? " under the source? Or does no one else read...... :D
data/avatar/default/avatar04.webp
i dunno man, by 3000 xp, i would think they would bump up the fsb as well, kinda funny how it's still only 266 when new ddr at higher speed is already announced.
data/avatar/default/avatar04.webp
Hmm? I guess that project i was working on with the 200/400 bus speed wasn't incorporated. I can tell you one thing though... IT AINT REAL!
