Agreement Reached On New Blue-Laser DVD Standard!

Finally! Now we just need to buy those DVD-RW which support this new format ;)

I hope now DVD movie producers will up the quality of the image to make it sharper on a HDTV or computer monitor.

But would they still play in the older DVD players? I'm not buying a new one, I just got the one I have.

lol not even the remotest chance! I'll be getting one when the price at least matches that of CDR at 20p per disk (UK) - 29Cents US Another thing to consider... if you need to make a 'backup' of yer film, will it be a newer format that current encoders can support easily. I purely want the DVDR for the space :)
