just a few remarks from a bit of a disillusioned user so it won't be almost out for another 2 months. rumors have it that it gets very hot . so it will probably crashs quite a lot. the drivers will surely have issues.... it's gonna cost big $$$. And ati will probably crush it with it's 9900. WOW plus i liked the part where the speak about games optimized for the FX. I mean they did not actually had a silicon handed out until late december, and half of the games on the list were out there by that time. What specific optimizations would they have for a card that was not out yet. If there have been some theoretical implementations -it's not guaranteed that they 'll work as they should. I'm just totally getting tired with nvidia's promotions - they're always trying to mislead the public. one last nail - in the nature test it scores no more than a 9700 . is that a 30 % difference ? no i 'll wait for official benchies b4 i might go and do anything and i might wait for 9900 b4 i splash out the cash.

har again. i used to have a 3dfx and it rocked. rock solid drivers, unlike nvidias crap and Glide made games FLY. nvidia came out with false claims about their products, they 'd actually perform much worse than touted. did that twice. then when finally 3dfx was out of biz, they did not even allow ppl to manipulate the code - trying to make ppl buy nvidias. I hated that. And nvidia will get it again from the 9900 i can predict. 3 cards in a row ? nvidia is paperlaunching more chips. and while they try to bring out Fx - some time in about 2 months @ 600 $ ati is preparing R400....... DX9+ ?????? not even the main features have been used in a game yet. And we're not talking games like aquanox ? aquanox was a lame game that noone 'd play - but it 'd bring a card on its knees - they used that as a benchmark. Also quake 3 as a benchmark ? you gotta be joking man. well i have to say, i was a 3dfx freak - but know i 'm an ati-child.

STFU nvidialamers........this is not news this is the gheyest post i awhile....ive had both and ati first cards were stable but soooo sloowww....now ati is king for now give them thier props.....nvidia has got you triks running around like sheep....dumb bastards...realize this: every leaked driver from nvidia is a beta test for stable drivers so if you look at the drivers that are "leaked" and count those in nvidias drivers are just as screwy as anybody elses....bottom line: what is fastest card right now? ATI 9700.PERIOD. now in 50 something days it will change and nvidia will be the fastest which is good for us all...your loyalty should be to the fastest not just which company manipulates you the best......that helps prices to stay low...well ok...and companies to offer quality...see American cars in the early 80's... think about it....
