The last few month shave seen a flurry of drivers sneaking both up online and appearing on NVIDIA?s website. However the 61.82 drivers brought a huge leap forward in performance with applications and many were extremely pleased on just how systems improved. TCMagazine: Nvidia has began confirming the video acceleration functionality of the 6800 series GPU has a hardware flaw and will never work. The VP offloads algorithm and image enhancement routines onto the GPU, allowing the CPU to focus on other work. "The product timeframes for high-end products leave little for regressive error testing. This bug is unfortunate, but not a huge problem" Unanimous Nvidia distributor.

The GeForce 6800's Video Processor is Broken

If you already didn't know, but Nvidia's GeForce 6800 AGP series of Card's may have had almost all video acceleration in hardware disabled by an internal flaw. The only way to fix this flaw is with a new set of Drivers that should be released soon and a copy of DVD decoder that Nvidia charge 20 bucks for.

First check out TechReport for more Info on the flaw! Then you might want to sign up to the nvidia DVD decoder petiton to try and get the DVD decoder from nvidia for free for the owners of 6800 card's.
