Just spotted this @ The Inquirer.net, where they spill out there usual case sensitive rumours:

IT FINALLY MAKES SENSE why Nvidia does not like 3dmark 2003 and why the company has even made public statements against it. We managed to get scores from the latest Futuremark benchmark tool after running it on 2 Nvidia cards that are yet to be introduced. They were the performance mainstream card NV31, likely to be called Geforce FX 5600, and the NV34 mainstream card with the possible name of Geforce FX 5200.

PC PoP have posted a photo and some details of ATI's upcoming Radeon 9600 RV350! Here's a quick translation as the site in Chinese.

ATI will name the RV350 the Radeon 9600 and the card will appaer at CecBit on 4th March 2003 . Radeon 9600 will support DirectX9.0, RV35O core frequency will be between 350MHz to 375mHz, and will use 256 bit DDR as same as the Radeon9700 Pro! RV350 will have 4 pixel pipelines compared to the R300 8, but will it be 1 or 2 Texture Memory Units we are not sure. Finally RV350 fixed price is about 200 American dollars,

SiS Announces 4 Channel RDRAM Chipset

Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. (SiS), Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (Samsung), ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS) and Rambus Inc. announced the cooperative development of the next-generation RDRAM-based chipset, the SiSR659, which is targeted at the performance computing and multimedia gaming markets. The R659 chipset represents the second offering from SiS?s family of RDRAM products. Incorporating high-speed interface and memory controller technology from Rambus, the R659 chipset drives four channels of 1200MHz RDRAM memory resulting in 9.6GByte/sec of memory bandwidth. This represents a 50% higher performance gain than competing dual-channel DDR chipsets. XabreGamers has got some info on the Xabre II at Platform Conference:

There are 2 models: the SiS 340 and 341 both support DX9 and AGP8x. Both models will have 500Mhz DDRII memory (!!) and will have the core clocked at 375Mhz. The only difference lies with the number of pipelines: 8 for the SiS340 and 4 for the SiS341.

Chip.de, a German website, have posted some details for ATI's upcoming graphics cards. After there visit to Intel Developer forum (IDF) in San Jose the first rumours seeped concerning ATI's Radeon 9800, 9600/Pro and the notebook variant M10 to the public. Here's a quick translation:

ATI plans a complete overhaul of its offer of wheel on chips for April 2003. Radeon 9700 pro, 9500 and 8500 and the mobile variant Radeon 9000 Mobility blocked in Notebooks are to be replaced with Radeon 9800, 9600/Pro, 9200 and Radeon 9700 Mobility.

Many see the Abit OTES VGA cooling solution as the mother of Nvidia's Flow FX. OTES was introduced on a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 for the first time back in 2002. Abit is going to introduce OTES v3 on their GeForce FX line of graphics cards. Furthermore there will only be limited quantities of Abit GeForce FX boards produced, according to their website. As promised we?ll give you an update on the performance and other features of the AMD systems that we reported on yesterday. Naturally AMD wasn?t very keen on disclosing clockspeed or detailed system configurations of the demo systems they had running, but we took advantage of a few fellow journalists entering the room and keeping the AMD PR people busy to run a few quick benchmarks on the Athlon-64 system. The Athlon-64 demo system we already reported on yesterday had a 2GHz clockspeed and used the SuSe 64-bit Linux operating system and was running the 64-bit version of Unreal Tournament 2003 as a demo.

Spotted this @ Flexbeta: Korean DRAM maker Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., said today (February 19, 2003) that a number of DDR400 double data rate synchronous DRAM components and modules have passed a test set by Intel Corp. that confirmed they could be used with Intel's so-called 'Springdale' chipset for personal computers.
