A resourceful guy in our forum has spotted some pics of the G80 card. There appears to be 2 types of cooling employed; air or hybrid water/air cooling but both took up 2 slots. There are 2 power connectors on the card and has 1GB of GDDR4 memories onboard. We have heard that the hybrid water/air cooler might not be available this time round but slated for later stage.

Three New Athlon 64 FX CPUs in mid-November

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) plans to launch three 90nm Athlon 64 FX processors intended for its 4x4 platform. The three Athlon 64 FX processors will be marketed under the FX-70, FX-72 and FX-74 names and have clock frequencies of 2.6GHz, 2.8GHz and 3.0GHz, respectively, with all models having 2MB (2x1MB) L2 cache and a TDP (thermal design point) of 125W, the sources indicated.

Last week, Dutch site Tweakers.net posted a roadmap of AMD's upcoming 65nm Athlon 64 X2 processors that listed 4000+, 4400+, and 4800+ models with the same clock speeds and 1MB-per-core cache sizes as previous 90nm models. Moles over at motherboard manufacturers seem to have different information.

Looks like we have a serious competitor to the Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6. The ASUS P5B Deluxe at 490 x 6 aircooled using X6800 CPU. The CPU is run at 6 x 490MHz with ram running at 1:1 at DDR2-980 CAS 5, 6-6-15 2T. DDR2 voltage at 2.15v and the rest is default voltage. SuperPI completes running without an issue.
