A new update from Creative on the crackling and popping issues some people are experiencing with their SoundBlaster X-Fi cards. According to Creative the sound glitches only arise on nForce 4 motherboards and only nVidia is able to fix them.
Core 2 Performance with GeForce/SLI
Over the past several weeks, we've conducted extensive Core 2 testing with Intel's 975X chipset and Radeon X1900 CrossFire, but what about NVIDIA's GeForce cards? That's what we're here today to find out.
Intel Core 2's reign will not be long! AMD's Technology pulls the plug
According to AMD engineers, Dual Stress Liner and SOI together should ensure about 16% increase in the frequency potential of Athlon 64 processors. This means Athlon64 90nm chips that are implemented with both SOI and DSL should achieve at least 2.8Ghz nominal clock frequencies. Those opterons which can reach up to 3Ghz on air are more likely golden chips with DSL and Strained SOI on 90nm.

ATi X1950XTX Pic's
Here are some pictures of ATi's upcoming X1950XTX. Our pictures compare the physical difference between the X1900XTX and the X1950XTX. The overall simpler PCB layout of the X1950XTX points towards a less power consuming card.
MSI 7600GT Diamond Plus granted the World's First HDMI Certification
MSI 7600GT Diamond Plus is the World's first VGA card granted the World's First HDMI Certification. Along with simple connectivity, the audio/video signals on PC can be transmitted to LCD or Plasma TV under HDMI. MSI NX7600GT Diamond Plus has also an exclusive function called D.O.T. II over clocking technology, which enable user to adjust the accordance of power-consumption and performance dynamically.

NVIDIA's Quad SLI Technology - Performance and Quality
NVIDIA has readied Quad SLI for the enthusiast, opening it up for official support in their latest driver release. Does quadrupling your gaming power make sense though?
The Quad SLI Do-It-Yourself Experience
Only a month or two ago Guru3d took a peek at the NVIDIA's GeForce 7950 GX2 where we tried to enable Quad SLI with the help of two GeForce 7950 GX2 graphics cards. At that time the results were quite a catastrophe and Guru3D halted that "mini" review within one page as there was only one game really supported. Not exactly NVIDIA's fault, Guru3D was just curious. Back then Guru3D stated that they very much doubted if NVIDIA would get Quad SLI running... ever.
GeForce 7900GT Round Up
NVIDIA's strongest SKUs in the market today is undoubtedly the GeForce 7900GT and 7600GT. We already saw what the GeForce 7600GT, both reference and higher clocked SKUs can do in our last round up. The performance difference, while present, is minimal. The use of a 128 bit memory bus restrains the card from getting enough bandwidth to really stretch its 12 pixel shader units to its maximum potential.
NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI Intel Sneak Peak
There was reason enough for NVIDIA to release an nForce 500 series for Intel's processors (Core 2 Duo compatible) for a lot of reasons, pretty much .. Conroe rocks and you need to have a platfrom ready for that !. Today guru of 3d will be taking a brief look at the reference NVIDIA NFORCE 590 SLI mainboard. It by all means is test done with a beta reference board that is not 100% finished as the final product will eb available at the end of August. Nonetheless .. even with this very Beta reference mainboard I was shocked by the combination of Conroe and NFORCE 590 SLI for Intel, in very positive way I must add.
GDDR4 Just Ready, Followed by GDDR5 in 07
DRAMeXchange indicates the raise in working frequency in GPU is the main force to push the development on GDDR memory, providing a higher memory frequency to fulfill the need of bandwidth. Samsung and Hynix have already give GDDR4 samples to ATi and nVidia.
The Scientists' Opinions on Gaming Physics
Ageia recently released its PhysX card to the public, and it didn't take long for Nvidia and ATI to in turn present their own take on how to best calculate physics.

AMD Will Use Shared L3 Cache
It looks like AMDs strategy against Intels Core 2 Duo is getting clearer. Just like Intel the Athlon 64 will get a shared Cache for 2 (or 4) cores, but AMD won't use the L2 cache for this, they will add a L3 cache with 2 MB or more.
