One of the world's largest demo and lan-parties were held last week here in Finland; Assembly '05. With over 5000 visitors from over 20 countries the success was guaranteed. Demos and gamers competed for the prizes totaling over 70.000 USD. We were there to cover the event so join us and see what it was like.

Since its launch, we've tried to give Battlefield 2 all the support it deserves by releasing patches with the fixes and improvements you've asked for. Unfortunately, we haven't lived up to the standards we've set for ourselves. So all of us at EA and DICE are working extra hard to make sure that your Battlefield 2 experience improves dramatically in the coming weeks. Towards the end of August, we will be releasing a new patch called 1.03.

First off, a HUGE thanks to all of you who emailed me in regards to the memory leak found in the update we released earlier this week (v1.01). Your emails found their way to our production team and they?re in the process of evaluating what needs to be done in order to get this fixed. In the meantime, and since the 1.01 update is causing memory leakage on some systems, we recommend that you reinstall the game and NOT the v1.01 update we released earlier this week.

Electronic Arts has now released the first retail patch for Battlefield 2, upgrading the 3D multiplayer action sequel by Digital Illusions to version 1.01. This update fixes two crash bugs as well as problems with controls binding, the multiplayer browser, shaders and environment mapping, bot AI, and more.

LFS S1 (and S2) is a serious racing simulator. No arcade modes, no steering aids - YOU have to do the driving. It is therefore highly recommended to play the sim with a wheel, because even though you can use keyboard and/or mouse, a wheel is what you use in a real car, so a wheel should be used in a serious racing simulator. Especially when going online, where fast reactions are required.
