Creative have released some Beta Creative 64-Bit Audio Driver For SoundBlaster Live/Audigy/Audigy 2 Series for Windows XP 64-Bit Edition Operating Systems April 18, 2005

Today I decided it was time to check both ATI and nVidia drivers for any Futuremark 3DMark03 optimizations. Both sets of drivers use filename detection to achieve their application specific optimizations. To try and get beyond their detection methods I renamed the 3DMark03 executable to another filename.

The NGO NVIDIA Optimized Driver is a tweaked version of the nVidia Forceware driver. The main purpose is to satisfy the users with a better performance and better image quality. The Driver has support for all Geforce cards.

The Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility installs to the target system the Windows* INF files that outline to the operating system how the chipset components will be configured. This is needed for the proper functioning of the following features:

Intel Matrix Storage Technology includes support for Serial ATA Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI), providing advanced features such as native command queuing, hot plug, and power management. Native command queuing, when paired with capable hard disk drives, increases storage performance on random workloads by allowing the drive to internally optimize the order of commands. This provides increased performance for today's multi tasking environments and demanding applications.

Originally for Dell laptops, these have a modded setup file to allow them to be used with most nVidia GPU's.

Initially these drivers blew my mind a little bit and they have worked with everything i have thrown at them so far raning from Unreal based games, FarCry, World of Warcraft and Source-based games.

The new ForSage Drivers where released. The current release is the ForSage v5.4, based on the ATI Catalyst 5.4 Drivers. This is an Alternative Driver for video cards using the ATI Radeon Graphic Chip.

ForSage v5.4 (2000/XP)

Realtek released version 3.71 driver for their ALC AC97 audio chipsets. The driver supports all ALC series audio chipsets from ALC100 up to ALC850 mainly used as onboard sound on various motherboards.

Forceware 71.91, leaked from Alienware, is available for download from www.TweaksRUs.com and www.LapTopVideo2Go.com.

As always, these drivers can be used on any VIA chipset based system running any Microsoft Windows 32 bit operating system, but they are recommended especially for systems running WinME, Win2K and WinXP and using KT4## series, P4X4## series and newer, for example:

Just got word that Origo3D have thrown up their ForceWare 76.44 Drivers Comparison!

They tested ForceWare 76.44 against ForceWare 76.41 ,75.90 ,71.50 ,71.25 ,71.80, 71.81 and 67.71 using a Geforce 6800 Ultra and using the following benchmarks Half Life 2 , Farcry, Doom 3, Aquamark 3, Futuremark 3D Mark 2005 120.

Here's a new set of Forceware Drivers in the shape of 76.50 for Windows 2000/XP that was leaked by Computerbase.de! They have modified .inf file, So all Cards Supported including the Quadro Series!! Dated 30th of March 2005!

Guru 3D and TweaksRUs also have a NVIDIA reference set version 71.89 WHQL , Dated 01/04/2005 , all Cards Supported.

TweakGuides have thrown up their latest guide that looks at tweaking your ATI Catalyst Drivers!

I've updated my ATI Catalyst Tweak Guide to reflect the changes from the latest 5.4 Catalysts. The changes are not major and primarily relate to fixes for several games including KOTOR 2, Splinter Cell:CT, enhanced HDTV support and some minor changes to the ATI Control Center, but if you haven't been through the guide in detail for a while, now would be a good chance to go through and double-check all the recommendations and settings.

Pieter at LapTopVideo2Go found the 71.86's at the Dell site. a modded inf to be installable on most cards. These are the third newset drivers on the scene and are dated March 14.!!
