These are modified/hacked ATI Catalyst drivers. The drivers have been optimized with two things in mind, better Image Quality and more/stable frames per second when compared to the official Catalyst drivers from ATI.

The Firing Squad have thrown up their Catalyst 4.3 Driver Report!

They tested Catalyst 4.2 against the newly released Catalyst 4.3 using the following Radeon cards 9800 XT , 9800 Pro 128 MB, 9700 Pro, 9600 Pro, 9500 Pro, 9500, 8500 and using the following benchmarks NASCAR Racing 2003 Season, Quake III: Arena version 1.32, Unreal Tournament 2003, IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles, Splinter Cell and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness.

New VIA Audio whql drivers

Station-Drivers reports that VIA Tech has released new drivers for the internal AC97 sound in their chipsets i.e. south bridges T82C686x , VT8231 , VT8233x , VT8235 and VT8237. The version carries the 5.10b number and works on Windows 9x/ME/2K/XP.

Alexey, (Rivatuner programmer) replaced his 9800PRO with a GeForce FX5950 in his primary PC to add some ForceWare 56.xx specific things to upcoming RivaTuner 2.0 RC15. He was rather disappointed when he saw that annoying image sharpening bug is still not fixed in the control panel. Funny as Alexey can get irritated by these things, and he did ...So he decided to fix it himself.
