Our bro's over at Station-Drivers send word that they've snagged a Beta set of ATi Catalyst 8.18 beta drivers, that were meant for ATi's upcoming R5XX series! A modded inf (from Station-Drivers) is included to allow the use of these drivers with many more cards than they were released for! dated 06/09/2005

Just a few days ago, a set of NVIDIA Forceware drivers were leaked on the internet. Now this is nothing new really, leaks of drivers are occuring so often it is nothing extraordinary. However, this new set of drivers, the 81.26 Beta Forware drivers, is the first set we see of the upcoming Forceware which will feature many new features such as individual card clocking in SLI mode and Dual Core CPU optimizations.

Well here it is version 2 of the 78.03-HD set. This set is aimed towards games such as BF2 and EQ2, games that just love to consume your gpu's Video Ram. Through extensive testing I have found that hitching or stuttering is mainly caused by games loading tons and tons of textures into your Video Cards Memory. We have changed a few things in the drivers to counter the hitching issue many users have experienced without lowering Image Quality even the slightest. Read on for a List of changes.

Go to the ATI Radeon section and take a look at the Readme while downloading so you know the latest changes, additions to this set and some important notes and warnings. by releasing new drivers. The latest Forceware version is version 78.01. Of
course, we're intrigued - partly to see whether or not the bugs we've found
are fixed. We even take these drivers for a spin in Battlefield 2. Our
conclusion: these drivers some improvements, but still retains the same
bugs.

Catalyst 5.9 Out

Today ATI released Catalyst 5.9 for your download pleasure.

Catalyst? 5.9 introduces directional motion adaptive deinterlacing algorithm through the 3D shader. The algorithm will detect edges in 5 different directions. This reduces artifacts, and improves the overall detinterlace video quality.
