After the recent fall dash board update, many users are reporting non-functional 360's. This includes units that are overheating, locking up, graphical glitches (checker board patterns) and even system death after prolonged use. Microsoft is refusing to admit the update is the problem and are asking $140 for repairs, even though hundreds of people are having the issue after the update. Sony's been throwing a PS3 fest here in New York and Richard Blakeley, gave us a first hand look at the PS3's web browser interface. Typing URLs with the controller is somewhat clunky as you can see from the video itself (luckily you can plug in a USB keyboard), but otherwise it'll let you open up to 6 different browser windows simultaneously and then tile them (Expose style) so you can see them all at once.

An updated version of the Fall Update is now available on Xbox Live which has elminated issues relating to new or refurbished consoles failing after applying the Fall Update. Users who have already applied the Fall Update and are seeing an error message should call their local Xbox Support telephone number. If you already have the update, you will not be prompted for another update.
