Big thanks to Tim @ Majorgeeks.com for sending in this new tool. Freeware EasyISO is a simple, standalone (no install) CD Burning software with support for CDR/CDRW, DVD+RW, DVD-R and DVD-RW. It provides on-the-fly burning without creating any temporary files. EasyISO supports Joliet as well as Multisession, Disc Caching and Burn Proof. You can also create bootable CDs and test write before burning. It uses the standard or any other ASPI-driver.

Cdr-Zone seems to have found a new version of Blindwrite Suite v 4.1 beta!

Couldn't find anything about this on the BlindWrite website, and I haven't verified the download link, but it looks like it's a beta release!

CDFreaks.com reports that a user of their forum called Maik has posted a firmware on his site that allows you to flash your Lite-On 24103S/32123S to a 40125S. Several people (also two of our moderators/experts) have already confirmed that it works.

I tested Maik's Xsu1.bin with my litey 32123S... Everything seems to be working normally, but now my drive is detected as a 40125S and can write at 40x too in Nero 5.5.9.9... Good work Maik... Now how about 48x???

Roxio has released another update to Easy CD Creator Platinum, this one is called 'Easy CD Creator 5.3.1 SP4'. Also the 'Basic' version has been updated to SP4.

Nero has released a new version of their packet format software InCD 3.37 (an upgrade from the prior 3.31 release). I found that I needed to upgrade to the new release in order to format a CD-RW disc in InCD under XP SP1. Download Nero InCD 3.37

Remember the link you had for a few minutes for the nero 5.5.9.6 and after that link went down it has since been imposible to find 5.5.9.6...

Well over on the Tdk website they have a link for an official Nero 5.5.9.6 :) so maybe i was hoping you nice people at warp2search could/may post a new link to this Nero so that many people who did not download the new nero in the brief period it was up could download it now officially?... Well i just upgraded my 5590 to 5596 right now, too bad nero's official website does not have it yet, buy luckily Tdk.com did...
