Warp11 Overclockable ATI 9500Pro BIOS

Thanks to Darkcrow.co.kr for the heads up!

warp11 did a comparison of the 9700Pro BIOS, the 9700 non-pro BIOS, and the 9500Pro BIOS and was able to find the one hexidecimal value that is keeping the 9500Pro and 9700 non-pro from overclocking.

Epox Offers KT400 Thoroughbred Unlocked - BIOS Available

The Inquirer.net has the story that talks about the BIOS recently announced by Epox for its KT400 boards 8K9A, "that offers a feature for those wanting to overclocking Athlons without changing the processor itself. The BIOS works for all Thoroughbred processors - including revision B - that support FSB 333. All processors from 2200+ up to the still unavailable 2800+ are supported."

New ECS K7S5A Overclocking BIOS

There's a newer overclocking BIOS for the well known ECS/Elitegroup K7S5A mainboard.
This new one based on official 020809 Bios supports the new AthlonXP 2400+ and higher based on the new T-Bred Model-B Core. This BIOS adds many more FSB options and some memory tweak settings.

Hacked Pioneer 103/A03 Firmware Allows Faster Writing

Cdfreaks.com reports that the guys over @ The firmware-flash.com forum have released a firmware that allows the Pioneer 103/A03 DVD-R drive to write Ritek DVD-R discs at 2 speed.

Okay, today I succefully test Ritek @ 2x on A03/103 drive, and... works perfectly. Of course, I have hacked my v1.68 (RPC-1) firmware in order to do this one possible.

I burned a DVD-Video with 4436MB in 28:45 (mm:ss) using Nero 5.5.9.9.

New Abit KX7-333(R) BIOS

Abit has new BIOS B6 for this board. It can be found on ftp.abit.com.tw. It adds support for the 2400+ and the 2600+. Also the 2.32 version of the Highpoint RAID controller BIOS is used.
