Just read Linus torvald's interview on eWeek.com Here is a snip:-
"eWEEK: For its part though, SCO has said that there are so many lines of code, and a variety of applications and devices that use that code, that simply removing the offending code would not be technically feasible or possible and would not solve the problem. Do you agree?"
"Torvalds: They are smoking crack."

In fact, is seems that the most popular search engine in the world is about to reach the limit of its capacity of listed pages: 4,294,967,296. A numeric problem that is mainly due to a calculation error." ... contd.

Nvidia Gets Bitch Slapped

Thanks to G`Rilla at 3DChipset.com for the info and the links.

This is really funny and something to kick off the weekend with. Check this out. A forum user who goes by Alpha has a story board of the movie Matrix with a twist. You have got to read this thing. It's too funny! Next up is: 'When we thought we seen it all'. The PR department of VisionTek drops word of their new flash animation on their front page. I wonder who is under the paper bag? Probably Derek Perez! LOL and finally we have 'Cheating Drivers Hidden Dragon'. This one comes from the folks over Darkcrow.co.kr this one is pretty unique as well. Thought you guys who enjoy some good humor (yeah I know it's at the hands of Nvidia) would appreciate it.

CNet reports here that "Electronic Arts, the nation's largest maker of video games, says it is caught in the crossfire between the German and United States governments over the Iraq war. This month, the German government listed a new game produced by Electronic Arts on an index of games the government considers violent. Such games may not be advertised or displayed on shelves in Germany, although they may be kept under store counters and sold to adults. The reason according to Elke Monssen-Engberding, director of the Ministry for Family Affairs: 'It portrays war as the only way to resolve conflicts." This is a sad news... ;(

Stripper Aerobics

Here's an article @ Womencentral.msn.com that should have you running to renew your gym membership.

Who knew stripping could be so sweat inducing - for the person taking it all off? Members of the Crunch gym chain in Los Angeles, New York and Miami have been hustling to get into the chain's hottest new class, Cardio-Striptease, a low-impact aerobic workout choreographed with actual strip-club moves. (Gold's Gym in Venice, California is planning to introduce a class called The Art of Exotic Dancing.) In addition to providing an excuse to wear boas and hobnob with real-life pole dancers, these classes provide a great workout.

3DMark 03 Interview

Published by [NT] 2

NordicHardware has had the chance to ask Futuremark a couple of questions about their upcoming benchmark 3DMark03. [NH]: There has been some complaints that the CPU, RAM and MOBO influenced the scores too much, is this any different in the 03 version?
[FM]: As we have focused even more heavily on the Shaders in 3DMark®03, the graphics card is more of a bottleneck than it was in 2000 and 2001. 3DMark®03 comes with a separate CPU test for more in-depth CPU benchmarking. Read all about it here: www.nordichardware.se

Plus!DME Has Been Cracked

Published by [NT] 0

Saw this on Neowin: "A group called 'Holics Project' have cracked Plus! Digital Media Edition's WPA (Windows Product Activation).
The "crack" works as long as you don't have DME installed and any previous Plus! packs installed. The crack itself consists of just a registry file which is run before "Activation"." I can imagine some programmer @ Microsoft saying Oops.
