How to enable ATI's MSTAA in the beta 6.10s
As you may or may not have heard, ATi is going to be offering a new AA mode coming up soon for single ATi cards. No clue exactly what is/isn't supported yet as they haven't even really announced what it is yet, but rumor has it to be a MSTAA mode (alpha to coverage). And since tEd over at Beyond3D once again figured out how to hack the beta Catalyst 6.10 set to get it working I figure it's ok to mention it.

ATI to Release 'FireStream' GPGPU Accelerators?
Pay close attention to the X server log output from ATI's Linux driver, as we did recently with a FireGL V7350, and you'll see mention of support for what we believe is a brand new class of product featuring a modern graphics processor.
ATI's Terry Makedon on the Future of the 'Chuck' Patch
As we enter the month of August, we are still left without a WHQL driver incorporating the 'Chuck' patch which allows for the use of HDR alongside anti-aliasing in Oblivion, nor do we have a non-WHQL release of CATALYST 6.7 incorporating this functionality. So, what is the future of the 'Chuck' patch? Elite Bastards asks ATI's Terry Makedon.

ATI's Catalyst 6.4 Crossfire Without the Cable
I was just checking some new graphics cards from HiS as we'll be doing a lot of product reviews for them soon and accidentaly stumbled into something very interesting. We all know that ATI is working on Crossfire support without that dreaded dongle cable. Catalyst 6.3 most definitely did not support this feature.
Radeon X1800 + Xpress 3200
There seems to be a strategy to extend the value to those people that have shelled out for X1800 parts, by allowing Crossfire to work without master hardware, but only on Radeon Xpress 3200 -based mainboards. It's set to be announced after CeBit, and looks like being workable with the entire X1800 range, from XL to XT and possibly All-In-Wonder to boot.
